we want to be pop-u-lar

The other week, Corey called me to tell me he had changed our honeymoon plans and instead of going to Park City, we are now going to Lake Tahoe.

Before the switch, we had started planning some local Salt Lake activities which I was pretty excited about like Wicked, a Real Soccer Game, and some shopping.  I wasn't too bummed about any of them except for Wicked since a honeymoon was the perfect excuse to spend a little extra $$ too see a play or musical.

Well Corey loves to surprise me and a few days ago, he surprised with tickets to see Wicked only 3 days later which also happened to be the month mark countdown till our wedding. I might have cried when I saw the tickets and it might have been the longest 3 days of my life waiting for Wednesday night to come but it came! Finally we were driving to Salt Lake where we ate dinner at Crown Burger and then walked over to the Capital Theatre. Neither Corey or I had ever seen it so we were both stoked to see it for the first time together.

We loved every single second and now we can’t stop thinking about it. The singers were amazing, the acting was hilarious, and the company couldn't have been better.

After the play, we walked back to our car which was over half a mile away and required us to walk through temple square. As we stopped at the reflection pool to look at our temple, Corey asked to see my ring and re-proposed to me and I cried as I realized how real this all is. I get to marry my best friend for time and all eternity in just one month right where we were. I truly struck gold when I found him and I am grateful every day for his thoughtfulness, his generosity, and his goofy personality that constantly makes me laugh.

One more month!

Our free time...

We attend balloon festivals that result in an epic fails with wind blowing hot air balloons on young families and scattering kids. Don't worry, it was the most entertaining balloon festival we've seen with fatalities only found in temporary deathly screams.

We slack line; specializing in traversing backyards. We're excited for when we plant grass in our future backyard. We'll know (meaning only Meghan based on the gifs below) how to cross the yard without smashing the new baby grass.

We're putting together a resume to become professional Root Beer evaluators.

We boat, and oh how we boat; Pineview Resevoir, UT.

Instead of buying a new car, we're considering old tractors for commuting around town. We asked all the local farmers in Huntsville, UT to put on their best performance to help us select the best one for us. Since it was also the 4th of July and many other peeps were also their for the town breakfast, they made it a parade; we didn't mind. We're gonna keep looking for now.

Most importantly, we love going to the temple. We can't wait to enter the temple soon to be sealed together, becoming our own family unit for the eternities. Oquirrh Mountain Temple
